Hallo everyone. I say, I think it's about time we had a few more Pokemanz... Named ones!

I just wanna say, there've been some wondering about Brock and such, and if I'm following with the canon and stuff... Just wanna say now, I'm not too concerned about sticking to the Pokemon Mythos in this comic, as I'm not very well learned in it. I generally just write what I think will be fun, dipping into my memories of the games and show where I see fit. I don't know if Brocks dad took over the gym or his great aunt did or whatever xD It's all for funsies. If you're into all the continuity and whatnot that's cool, but just turns out I'm not.

I wonder if Atty gets tired of people telling him to be a man... That's one of the few lines his ma said to him. See y'all soon.

Oh, and never get pulled along into something when you don't know what it is you're gambling...

To be fair, I don't really care... Brock wandered around so much, I think it unlikely anyone really knows who the actual gym leaders supposed to be... Plus this one sounds pretty sweet. And mean :D

Regarding anime canon (just for the sake of clarification, I think I like this better anyway): After Brock left to do his wandering, his dad, Flint, took over the gym. As of the beginning of the Hoenn sagas, his oldest youger brother Forrest was training to become the new gym leader, using a few of Brock's Pokemon. At his last appearance (that I know of), he'd managed to evolve Brock's Onyx to Steelix.

Since the comic takes place long after 'the legend', Brock is most likely kicked out of his gym for using the first 3 pokémon he found outside, instead of actually training some.

My guess as of now is that Gutripper is a Kabuto.
Rock type to match the gym, little claw things to match the name, it's kinda cute to match such a cute girl and it's totally resistant to fire making DT useless, but weak to electric.

I'll hazard a guess. If it weren't for the fact this is a Rock Pokémon gym I would assume "Gutripper" is an Oddish.

But knowing Atty's luck it is probably an Onix, Golem or the lesser known Kabutops.

Humm... what kind of rock or ground pokemon would be called Gutripper? A Kabutops? Rhyhorn? Sandshrew/Sandslash?
Most rocky pokemon use a more smashy/crushy/beat-you-to-pokepulp style of fighting.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.
