A part of DT's foot in the last panel was un-toned.

But his pose is really dynamic and looks great. Love it.

She's a monster I feel like Dragon Thing could get to level 100 easily using just 'scratch.'

Not much body..more so a lack of PP and hp after a full night of training non-stop. Poor girls probably exhausted.

Starting to wonder at this point, how do other trainers figure out what moves their pokemon have? Specifically, their exact names?

For example, slam, whilst catchy, is probably not what the first trainer to catch an Onix would have tried using. Would've been something else like "JUST FALL ON IT YOU'RE BLOODY HUGE".

Especially confusing when you level up and the pokemon learns a move. It's not like the level is particularly transparent to the trainer (without Pokedex I suppose), so suddenly a keyword works when it hasn't otherwise. And if you're unlucky, suddenly one you've been using all along has been lost.

Also: Atty: "If I gamble all my pokemon away I get to go home, right?"

I would read Super Effective, if it would ever update. |:/ Fine, no Metal Claw? Kay... I'll just assume she uses some other over-the-top move she can't normally learn at this point, like flamethrower, hyper beam or rock smash!

Dat action!! Oot, @ChaosSorceror_Davidicus the battle just started, why would you expect Dragonthing to attack with Metal Claw at tones of rock falling at her? That wouldn't be very wise...

Well, since you ask... @herpityherpety: This is a pokemon webcomic.... and, if there is ANYTHING Pokemon (or at least the SHOW version) has taught me, it is that pokemon can do things they shouldn't normally be capable of doing (ie a PIKA-BLOODY-CHU being able to LIGHTNING BOLT an Onix, wet or not, I call bullcrap), where it is seen then chased and hunted down by a duo of retarded mobsters and their TALKING MEOWTH (Eh? See not normally able to do that!), because their mob boss leader REALLY wants the useless vermin for some reason or another.... *fume*

... Okay, I was actually just kidding, but I couldn't resist a chance to gripe about the horrid show. Haha. But I swear if DT does something "amazing" and "abnormal" and Stein and Elle become their team rocket, I may have to punch H0ly through the internet.

@Discrider: You know, the evolution of a word works pretty naturally, first they express what the action looks like, then they find the way to shorten it, so they won't say 'Fall on it with your huge body' everytime :D Also they look at other trainers and see how they name their pokes' moves as most are repetitive.

From Ch4 Pg64's description: "What I'm basically saying is there's gunna be no Charmanders learning Iron Tail or whatever it was on my watch. Atty's gotta suffer the way we all did years ago! THE REAL WAY!"

.. If that applies to Charmeleons and H0ly is still going with the 1st gen moveset.. This is gonna take a looong time.

Meh, so far, nothing the old DT couldn't have pulled off with a couple extra levels :p By level 20, a Charmeleon will have barely 3 more points in speed than a Charmander of the same level.

Art-wise, the first few panels look kind of cute, I guess :p Bet if it were still unevolved I'd be squeeing at the poses. The action scenes look great, though! Good to hear we'll be getting triple updates throughout this fight.

Slam has 20 PP and 75% Accuracy. DT has a bit more than 0.3% chance of winning this battle fairly easily if Stein plans to press his luck with Slam the entire time.

Its not the stats that affect DT. Its the coffidence that makes DT powerful. I mean DT can fight without being told what to do. In some ways DT is now a wild pokemon.

Fire may not be very affective against Grond/Rock types, but if DragonThing were to use a special fire attack, such as Ember, it could probably beat AvalancheBob in one hit since Onix has very low special defense.

The attacks she would be cable of are ember, scratch, growl, and Smokescreen. Rage if she is level 24. No metal claw or rock smash since they didn't exist in red and blue. Only tms that could help would be either dig or fire blast. The latter only for its raw power, but we can't be sure she learned either.

If you're going by levels, she should be able to take down that Onyx in a few attacks, regardless of what she uses. However, if she only battled Pidgeys, her speed stat must have gone waaaay up, so if this were like a battle in anime, she could just run and avoid every attack, maybe have have all Bob's PP used up?
