Heheh. In the first panel Atty's all 'fuck yeah'.

You remember this move? I remember this move... I remember as a young person not understanding what the hell was going on. Sorry guys, the battle's not won that easily...

See y'all soon.

God did I hate that move when I first played Pokémon, it was the source of so many frustrating losses.

Now-a-days, not so much, since I actually know what I'm doing now, but still...

If I remember right it doesn't actually do that much damage if you don't attack for three turns then again its been years since I played Red or Blue so I could be wrong....

Ah, I remember that move.

My first run in was when my piplup learned it... unless I found it in an earlier game or something, but I don't think I did.

I learned rather quickly to just not attack. Or, if they were clever and I already attacked, to TAKE OUT THE ENEMY NOW.

Great comic Been reading for a short while. You run a great comedy. I like the choice of adding in all the little bits of comedy that you wouldn't normally see anywhere else. I like how amazingly detailed your comic is. I'll be watching for future stuff.

As far as this page goes I like the look on the Onix in the 3rd panel where he is just staring back and all. Also seems like Atty doesn't know everything we were expecting her to know. Great page.

I seem to fail to remember certain things when it comes to pokemon... Bide is that normal-move where you sit still for a round or two then deal damage equal to the amount of damage you took before, but doubled. Right?

Bide doesn't raise Sp. Def.
Nor does it make Bob immune to damage.
Can DT sweep Bob in two turns?
Humanplague (Guest)

@phoenixgem: correct. It's a total pain if you don't beat the pokemon before it's used but can be easily used against the user with status effecting moves.

Perhaps DT will know what's going on, and Atty doesn't, and in their combined confusing DT'll just sit around waiting until Bob does something interesting again.

Bide @ChaosSorceror_Davidicus: Yes, the user of Bide stores damage taken for 3 rounds, finally returning all that damage on the last round. Bide is a special accuracy move in the sense that it cannot miss if it is going to deal damage and only misses if there is no damage to return or special conditions such as Fly, Dig, Paralyze, or Sleep prevent the user from attacking on it's turn of release. As a special sidenote to Bide, even as a Normal attack it is not subject to resistances and ignores all defenses, even going so far as to be able to hit Ghost type Pokemon without needing to Oder sleuth or Foresight them.

This would be the time where you spray potions at your pokemon (seriously -why- is a healing item essentially a dog-did-bad spray bottle with liquid in it that seems -really- confusing for training animal-ish monsters) and bump yer stats.

...Or just smash it to oblivion given that you'd probably be over leveled at this point.

After I knew what bide was I found it quite a nice rest in battle, you can ko the enemy before it unleashes bide or you can dope up until it's no longer doing bide.

uh, look, what rosque said.

Affliction Damage If Bob was burnt by DT's earlier attack and low enough HP maybe he'll faint from the burn damage while coiled up. As for the next big thing in Pokemon stacking status effects would be nice. Take that your poisoned/burnt/paralyzed thing.

I feel like I wised up to Bide pretty fast. I don't remember hating it unless I got caught out and my Pokemon didn't have a stat enhancing move that didn't cause damage (and I mean, come on, those were the first to go). Also sucks if your Pokemon wasn't the fastest. But there was much satisfaction at lowering the Biding pokemon's stats for 3 turns, then having the Bide fail and then dealing super damage the next turn because your lowered their defenses so much.
