I don't like Raticates. Nothing against them personally, I just don't like their teeth... They look so uncomfortable. I don't like Pokemon that look like it hurts to be them. Same goes for Wheezing.

Extra update on Wednesday! See y'all soon.

Also, I would like to comment on the fact that a Raticate was my fav pokemon of gen 1.

rofl, I like how he says kill it

Also, round Raticate is round
Unclever title
March 24th, 2014, 9:25 pm
I like to imagine that Marshall there in the bottom panel is levitating and flying forth like the namesake of his master's team.
March 24th, 2014, 9:31 pm
I want Atty to Cuddle DT when she turns into charizard... Reeeeeeaaallllllyyyy badly ._.

Please, H0ly, I beg of you, make it happen.
March 24th, 2014, 9:32 pm
I pretty much feel bad about any of the pokemon that look like they are just 2 or more of the same kind put together. Dugtrio is just three diglettes put together and are pissed off about it.

Finally, another battle!

Burn the rat!
March 24th, 2014, 9:42 pm
I always kept ratata till it evolved then hartlessly got rid of it they're so useless.
March 24th, 2014, 10:16 pm
@Novanto: Burn it 'til its dead!
March 24th, 2014, 10:21 pm
@BurstThrough: They're not useless. They get Hyper Fang pretty early on which has a power level of 80 which on a normal type gets STAB. So you've a move that is at a power of 120 on a Pokemon that you can level up pretty quickly and even though the accuracy of Hyper Fang is 90%, it makes up for that with it's high power being at such a level that it could kill a ROCK TYPE in two hits.

They're actually pretty good to use at the beginning of the game and they can get pretty good movesets if you use TMs well.

Well I see someone plays by Nuzlocke rules...
Better watch out, world. Atticus Brent is coming to town!

You don't like Weezing? I suppose, then, that there's virtually zero chance of Atty getting a Weezing? Aw, man... Weezing happens to be my favorite Pokémon.
Pandangaroo (Guest)
March 24th, 2014, 11:47 pm
Fatality You say you don't like Weezing, yet hear I am gasping for breath. I like how Atty decides to forgo the thug-lyfe by instead committing to systematically supporting all of PETA's complaints about pokemon.

I thought we were following Red and Blue but I guess Atty only plays >sunglasses< Black and Blue. Yeaa-
A Demonic Presence

i never liked raticate.
it goes from a sleek, speedy looking mouse to a giant fatass hamster with teeth too big for it's head.
March 25th, 2014, 12:15 am
Now Atticus needs to get a swan. Not a pokeswan. A real swan.

Logic: -[]- I want to leave.
-[]- It is in the way.
-[]- Murdercate it.

Atticus is developing a f**ks=zero mentality. :T
I approve.

Dat face I don't know if it's intended, but the Raticate's face in the last panel puts me in mind of that goofy bit in anime's where they put a manly face on something otherwise normal.

DT looks all sorts of ticked off, and awesome of course

Oh man, that face is beautiful

The more and more I look at that Raticate in the last panel the more and more I find it hilarious. I swear it looks like a type of food, but I can't say I know what that food's name is. So in the meantime I will consider it to be a chicken nugget. Thad's got a chicken nugget for a Pokemon. And he is about to eat it.

That Raticate looks an awful lot like a Haunter.

@Pandangaroo: Atty only plays >sunglasses< Neku Sakuraba.

I have wanted to draw that comparison for a while now.

I like that he named his raticate. It always drove me crazy how people almost never named their pokemon in the show or the games. How can you say you care about your pokemon if you don't even bother naming it?
March 25th, 2014, 12:47 pm
@Tara: For me, people who didn't name their pokemon merely liked the names that were given and/or didn't know what else to name it. I could spend hours trudging through grass to find a specific pokemon that I had been dying to have the entire game- and indeed, perhaps the only reason i even got that specific game- and I may be planning to use that pokemon for the rest of the game and train it to level 100, but I would keep the original name because it's cool and I couldn't do a better job xD
March 25th, 2014, 12:53 pm
Atty doesn't really show his good side when his orders are to kill and the villains are out to faint.

Ah, a lovely, intriguing comic you have going on here. I've got to say I feel sorry for the Rat and Dragonthing. They both look like they could use a hug. But that's just me. A nice take on the Pokemon world and I look forward in seeing where you go with this.

*Mortal Kombat* @Iarei:

Anyways, I do believe that Team Rocket has a good nemesis going for them already.
Wait, did I say 'already', I meant they have another nemesis.

I know, that was phrased badly. I apologize greatly.

I wonder, since DT is constantly fighting things, if she will be evolved into Charizard by the time they get to Vermillion City.

Me Too @Meepo: I had a Raticate in my first run through Gen1 Blue. I like those Raticate's better then the newer ens that have them all round and oval shaped. They looked much more menacing.
March 25th, 2014, 5:03 pm
LOL in the last panel it looks as if Marshal almost has a human face.

I want to see Rat man up and shock Marshal into a puffball. I mean, it's a round pokemon covered in fur and long whiskers... what'd it look like if it got struck by lightning?
Arbok (Guest)

So the Raticate is Marshall, will we see an Arbok called Lily?

Am I a sick person for hoping that DT actually does just murder raticate?
YAYY (Guest)
March 26th, 2014, 3:27 am
I had a raticate in generation 1, and I took it all the way to elite four... and after the first time I beat it, I got rid of it because I caught Mewtwo.
Afterwards I never really cared to train up a raticate... Can't exactly say why, but I just didn't. It's a different story for Gyarados, though. I must've raised up around 15 of those from Magikarps if I count all the pokemon games I played... Sometimes I even had two on my team, and it worked pretty well. Nowadays, I use no normal type pokemon for Gen 1 games, unless it's snorlax. If available, I use zigzagoon as my normal pokemon.

Pre-emptive strike @Deshera: Well, in Atty's defense, he tends to take a point of view that would be relatively ordinary rational, if snarky, to the rest of us. But most people in his world have this weird slanted Poke-vision. You have to admit, especially after Thad's threats before, I'm pretty sure Atty feels his life is in danger, and the best defense is 'DT, eff 'em up.' In the world of Pokemon, even pulling out a taser and zapping a TR member to disable them would probably be considered an extreme response, even though logically, these people are threatening lives and out for world conquest. So there you go.

Like munchkin cats They just don't look like they can do anything. Also I hope Atty has an as easy a time with grunts as I do.

In the shows, a bite from something like a Gyarados is doomed to fail, mainly because they dont want kids to see Pikachu getting eaten. When it comes to pokemon like Raticate... if the pokemon has a hard shell or something then it hits, if not also doomed to miss. Then again this is Holy's webcomic so who knows. My bet is that we have roasted rat in the next couple of pages.

Your MOST AWESOME FAN Atty has to climb onto DT when she evolves into a Charizard. Not kidding. She needs to be like huge and freakn bad ass.

@Lavender Okamari: I regret to inform you that charizard is only five foot seven
March 26th, 2014, 6:49 pm
Hi. I'm new and I fell in love with your comic, so I'll be around after each update, unless University/Work is being a female Growlithe. Keep up the good work!

@Harrie5: according to the pokedex, mabye, but I'd like to think that heights can vary like they do in the anime (plus the stats in the pokedex are WEIRD sometimes)
