And yet somehow those two magically think that swapping jumpers is going to throw everyone off? It'll be crazy if that actually works without at least a LITTLE suspicion!

@ThePokeman92: I think I missed something. Where does it say they are swapping jumpers?
December 1st, 2014, 5:05 pm
@Drakonian: The cover page for the chapter shows them with each other's jumpers on. Right now they're not mentioning it, but it's clear that is what's coming next. I'm quite interested in seeing how they managed to convince themselves that's good enough or something.

You need to remember that most people of that world, with few exceptions, have demonstrated that they are very easily convinced of something different to what they thought by the evidence of minute changes. Earlier, Atty had only to put his jumper on over his Rocket uniform, concealing the R, to convince others that he wasn't a Rocket.

@Shadow51247: Yeah but those were kids. We're talking a police squad here, I'm assuming they are at least somewhat trained in criminal identification and apprehension (I know, it's still a long shot...)

@ThePokeman92: Maybe for Jenny, but most of the force are tiny blue turtles. I really wouldn't say they're smarter than the kids/hiker they fooled earlier
December 1st, 2014, 9:13 pm
@ThePokeman92: Remember the only description they have is: A girl in a blue hoodie and a plain guy in a brown jumper. Swapping outfits makes them not match that description anymore. If that's the only thing they have to go on, that's enough to keep them from being noticed.
December 1st, 2014, 5:05 pm
It doesn't really say that they are swapping them, but on the cover of chapter 9 it shows Atty and George wearing each others jacket/jumpers in the picture.

@ThePokeman92: Its the Clark Kent Theory, when he puts glasses on no one suspects he's Superman...

Superman @ThePokeman92: You would think, and yet Superman can put on a pair of glasses and assume the persona of Clark Kent without anyone taking a second glance

Oh Atty.... Blaming it all on George. Yes, she did steal the ticket, but we all know you have the Eevee.

Speaking of the Eevee, if Atty really does have it, what would he evolve it into? I mean, he already as a Electric, Water, and Fire type. Magikarp isn't much, but when it evolves......

@Critic: Jolteon, then?
December 1st, 2014, 10:59 pm
Did I say grass type! I meant Electric, Atty has Rat (Pikachu), and since this is based off of gen 1, there aren't any other Eeveeutions!

@Critic: hope its vapor eon.

IN ANY CASE!! If he reveals that he has an Eevee to george that might just destroy her faith in him, its too early for it right now.

Hi H0ly! I read both Mokepon and Rumpelstiltskin. I really love your work! How many packs does Atty smoke a day? He must have a lot of money to keep it up!

Atty return the pokemon

@TimeSceo: I'm kind of torn in believing whether Atty actually did anything wrong or not. While his quietly blending into the background in the lighthouse and the above statement about acting on impulse would imply he might have done something wrong, I'm still tempted to believe the guy George was left behind by at Nugget Bridge was the actual thief since the door was already unlocked when they got to the lighthouse (Abel acted surprised that they had gotten in, indicating he probably locked the door like the normal person he is) and we never actually saw Atty take anything.

Idk, it just seems too easy to blame Atty.

Actually, if you go back to the when they enter the Light House, Atty said it was locked, then George just opened it, like it wasn't; same with the whole computer thing, Abel said that you needed a password or something, but George was just surfing through his computer like no one's business.

With the information you've just received, you can speculate what happened.

Absolutely nothing wrong with "copypasting" things when needed. The pros do it all the time. That's like saying screentones are "cheating". I think there's a point where too many screentones can be hindering artwork rather than enhancing it, but Mokepon is juuuust right. :) Keep up the amazing artwork!

I'd like to throw in that the police will probably mostly rely on the squirtle squad. Most towns only have a single officer Jenny, and she's probably the only one who's on the case (other minor police officers may not even know about the case, or were simply asked to keep a look out but not actually investigate.) Pokemon aren't exactly the most intelligent creatures around, and the world has already established how easily fooled everyone else is (Atty is in the 'real world' and the rest of the world is basically operating under the 'kids show' philosophy.) Officer Jenny probably has some level of intelligence, as many characters do in this comic, but the squirtles would probably be so dense that they wouldn't notice. As already pointed out, by just not wearing the team R shirt, you can get away with claiming your not involved at all without any further questions. Here, simply switching clothes might actually work for at least a while.

food for thougth still I think it might of been Khan who circled around and gave Atty the Pokémon he used to steal it on the cameras thus Abel thinks Atty stole the Eevee because he saw him with the oddish after and noticed the top of the R on Attys v neck

Aww! Atticus called himself "Atty" when he was berating himself. George is having an effect on him.
December 1st, 2014, 8:27 pm
Bad Atty! Bad!

On a side note, he finally called himself Atty.

hard to believe I have a hard time believing Atty would allow anyone wear his jumper, ever.
Regardless of what the cover says, I don't think it will happen. (That is even a troupe for it.)
December 1st, 2014, 10:52 pm
DITCH THE STOLEN POKEMON AND BURN THE ROCKET SUIT. and then run the heck outa there wait for a week or so just outside of the city and you should be fine Atty. Huh? what about George, she's on her own.
December 2nd, 2014, 12:08 am
George thinks she didn't steal those tickets??? Talk about delusional.....

I sense a swapping of jumpers and jackets coming up.

One thing this demonstrates is, how much easier it is to steal Pokémon, WITHOUT wasting 5 minutes to introduce yourself in a silly verse.

Copy-pasting backgrounds and objects is okay, because those things are usually static, they don't change, but copy-pasting living things is abominable.

I only noticed the copy pasting after you said it!! But only because you normally never do it! Copy pasting backgrounds and objects should normally be okay if done so rarely.
December 2nd, 2014, 8:22 pm
Dang it Atticus, stop making it so hard to believe you didn't steal anything! >:C

Although he could be talking about running away and grabbing George while he was at it...? Running away is suspicious, and George is not subtle. :I

It's not just Gen1, though... If you remember, we saw a Feraligatr make an early appearance in this comic. So I wouldn't rule Umbreon/Espeon out of the potential Eeveelutions.
If Atty did, in fact, just steal an Eevee.

Reply's possible George stole the evee too. Atticus has done crime recently, after all. Dig, joining team rocket, etc.
December 3rd, 2014, 1:44 pm
Eevees and thievees ... Not my best title, but fuck it.
Anyways, Atticus, good job, but I'm not really sure WHY you decided to stick with Team Rocket. Seriously, they don't pay well, it seems, and it doesn't get you anything but suspicion and distrust. And here I thought we were similar!
