I'd be the one begging for a spot on solid ground, I don't want to be in that water when the battle begins xD

You know, if DT can beat a rock type, there's no reason she can't beat a water type.

As much as I'd love to see DT be awesome and stuff, I do want a chance to see Atty's other Pokemon shiny! Rat needs love, that Oddish is so carefree, it needs to battle! Magikarp would be interesting... And the Eevee... I KNOW YOU HAVE ATTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Scuse you, Miss Artemis, that there is a Charmeleon and her name is Dragonthing. Respect.

Though if he gets three Pokemon that means Rat and Oddish and those be two types that are strong against water. Even if Atty doesn't know their moves I can sense Rat's intelligence, so she will know thundershock is the way to go. And Oddish will just… dance and hopefully razor leaf will just magically happen.

@Demonic-Wanderer:

I don't think Oddishs know razor leaf, from what I can remember they know absorb, and that one was bossing around with it in the earlier chapter too.

Or, Dragonthing could attack the water with flamethrower and just boil the water types alive.

You know, this is the first swimming pool I've seen that does NOT have a "No Smoking" policy. Why has she allowed Atty to keep that thing in his mouth?

Gotta be honest--each time I see a swarm of random NPC's in the background I can't help but scour through them to see if one of them is doing something silly. :P

I almost expect someone to be pushing someone else into the water or something...

So, does a Charmeleon still die if the fire on the end of it's tail goes out? Going to be awful hard to keep it lit in a swimming pool... some Gymleaders should know better. :'S

@Dante_Solablood: I think that's the basic idea for all fire types with flames on their body (charmander/charmeleon/charizard/ponyta/rapidash... etc.)

I can't help but wonder how they survive at all? My guess is that the flame contains Magnesium, so it can burn under water...

@Evan Dark: Cyndaquil is often shown with its flames extinguished, though, so it couldn't apply to ALL Pokemon with flames.

@Takeshre: Methinks Cyndaquill's flames are internal.
Flareon has internal flame sacs so I'd guess Cyndaquil has something similar.
The Char family is one of the most badass of the fire types and maybe the most fragile as well because their flame source is external?

Pokeology @Dante_Solablood as I remember, the flame of the charmander evolutions shows the pokemon's health, strength, and body temperature. They're fine in the rain, or a warm bath, or whatever, so long as they stay warm. This would be a good time for dragonthing to learn overheat, or evolve to fly. Or maybe he'll just learn to stand his ground really well.

I always understood it like the flames are a consecuence of the Char's health, not a cause.

Like, they are healthy so they're hot and their tail burns, get the tail wet and the flame turn off for as long as it is in the water, then it would just get off steam and go back to burning.

But That's just my headcannon I guess...

Well, this will be interesting. First off, the moment Dragonthing leaves that platform, Atty will fall in because... physics and slapstick. That said the actual size and shape of those... =3= ignore physics those platforms do. That said we have already seen a single bubble propel a charmander over fifty feet into the air.

The original pokemon anime placed great importance on the tail flame, where rain could kill a charmander. Pokemon Origins on the other hand has a fully submerged charizard looking fine and dandy.

Also, why does everyone keep assuming Atty has one of Bill's eevees? ALL THOSE ARE ACCOUNTED FOR ALREADY!

@Servus: Not true. One pokeball was missing when Atty and George left. Is it an Eevee? Maybe. Maybe not. But its something of Bill's
