I like to imagine that Abel takes out all of the poor and forgotten pokemon in the storage boxes and walks 'em around and lets them play and such from time to time.

I was interested in why a lot of people were certain that Abel and Allie were bro and sis after the last page... Because Allie said 'Dad's Gym' rather than 'My Dad's Gym'. Maybe it's not widespread but where I'm from (Northern England) I can say, for example 'I'll borrow dad's car' without it necessarily meaning OUR dad. Cultural differences I suppose.

... Not that I'm saying they AREN'T siblings. I'm not saying they are either, I'm not saying shit lol.

See y'all soon.

@00Stevo: This has been an in-game mechanic since gen 1. How on earth have you never noticed it? In the games the move will deposit you at the last pokemon center you visited when used outside of battle.

@Merrsharr: It couldn't be- George is constantly changing out her Pokémon to use, making sure all her Pokémon get an equal time outside the box system.

@Shaede The Black Eevee:
.... She can only use 6 people at a thing.... And we don't even know how much boxes full of pokemon she has, but it's been known she's running out.

Dad says they don't have to be siblings! I often say dad or mom without using my first when talking to non-relatives. Since I'm talking, it's implied I'm referring to my own parents, unless I specifically say otherwise.

I also say my mom or my dad. It just depends on how I happen to word it.

So it's not just an England thing. In America (or at least in the part of Pennsylvania I live in) we speak that way too.

I assumed Able and Allie were lovers...or at least that Allie was a frustrated want to be lover of Abel.

@H0lyhandgrenade: I'd definitely say *my* dad. (I'm from London, originally)

I'd probably usually say my dad, but I might sometimes leave off the my (From US/California)
Either way, I definitely didn't assume they were siblings.

@00Stevo An abra can teleport you from the Indigo Plateau to New Back Town in Gold/Silver before you become champion.

Also, I'd just say 'Dad'; 'my Dad' sounds superfluous to me. I'm Aussie, however.

@Quid: Eeee-yup! I'm with you, mate. Usually it's just "Dad" instead of "my Dad"... although if it's someone ELSE's Dad, then it's "Your Dad" or "Name's Dad".

So... is Abel gonna take back the Eevee? Or did he already take it back and I just missed it? Or what?

So Abel would be a massive hypocrite complaining about a 'borrowed' pokemon.

@qazox: Well you see, Abel actually cares for his two-dozen Eevee. People like that Abra's trainer really do just stick them in a box and forget about them.

*currently remembering the 100s of Pokémon sitting in Pokémon bank........
I'd like to think that as the generations passed, the PCs got better. I mean, u can change the wallpaper..... and there's now that resort thing too.
As for the parent thing, I think it just depends on the person. Sometimes I say Mom without referring to her being just MY mom, but only with people I know. If it's a stranger I say My mom. For me, Mom is what I call her with family, but with strangers it's a title or position. No one really tells me which way to use it, I'm from Massachusetts btw.

Didn't George once say she had been on her pokémon journey for 2 years? Or am I completely making that up? The number feels familiar =p

Dude it never even occurred to me they might be brother and sister. Mostly because Allie accused Atti of being "another one of his lovers" so I just assumed he gave her the eevee/jolteon because they were dating. But that would actually be a really nice twist, if they were siblings. Looking back at the last few pages, I can see how that could be the case; they never directly refer to anything romantic and everything could be taken in a platonic "Why weren't you here for me" context. Either way, this has been a really nice arc, reconciliations and admissions of guilt all around. It's nice to see Atticus finally realizing that he has, in fact, not been a great person, and it seems like he is actually wanting to change. Looks like Mom kicking him out of the house to go get beat up by everyone's pokemon was good for him, after all! :D

I would never do that to an Abra!
